The blogosphere has been ripe with mango fantasies. (see here for instance) But I see no sign of relief yet. All we get here in our local market are green mangoes which Ma uses for chutney. They are sour and chutney isn’t something I particularly like. Anyhow, until this summer decides to shower us with sweet, golden delights, I have had a mini gift of another kind – the 7*7 blogging award! Novroz, the adorable one with the adorable pet turtles, very sweetly passed it on to me but like everything else in life, it comes with baggage.

Mussoorie has beautiful sunsets. And beautiful horses. When I first went there with Mom and Dad, all excited about my first ‘hill station’, we met Roshan. His horsy memories have forever remained fresh in my mind.
Most Helpful Piece:
Indiblogger and Crusade Against Chlorine’s contest got me in research mode about water filters. Considering the neat pen I ended up winning, it seems well worth the effort. 😀
Most Popular Piece:
Mom. For all she stands and means to me. Managing to be beautiful all the while.
Most Controversial Piece:
A morning @ Dhobi Ghat and I decided I do my laundry better
Dhobi Ghat garnered several artsy reviews. It also garnered some less artsy ones on this humble little place.
Most Surprisingly Successful Piece:
A morning in Pune and my first tryst with the foot-tapping song from 7 Khoon Maaf. It brought to my mind the darlings that I am familiar with and what do you know, they rose to instant fame. 😀
Most Underrated Piece:
When it rains in Pune, the skies turn haunting. You cannot look away. This rainy rhyme was written on one such afternoon and it always brings to my mind the beautiful memories I have of the city.
Most Pride-worthy Piece:
“A Fleeting Stay”: Rambo Circus leaves Pune
I still remember the evening when I saw Rambo Circus packing up. Whether it was the expression the circus people had on their faces or the stillness of the moment, I don’t know. But this piece is special to me because it gave me a whole new muse for the place. Every day life. Thus, it has henceforth been.
